王玉平,博士研究生,教授,博/硕导,四川农业大学农学专业1995级学士、作物遗传育种专业2000级硕士、2003级博士。四川省第十二批学术和技术带头人,四川省有突出贡献的优秀专家。
长期从事水稻遗传育种与分子生物学研究,研究领域为水稻重要功能基因的发掘与育种利用、水稻分子设计育种和水稻品种的DNA鉴定等。近年来先后主持国家支撑计划项目子任务、自然科学基金、国家重点专项子任务及省级项目多项。主研获国家科技进步奖二等奖1项,四川省科技进步奖一等奖2项,神农中华农业科技奖一等奖1项。发表论文60余篇,其中SCI收录论文40余篇。主持或主研获植物新品种权和发明专利共10余项。先后育成水稻品种80余个,其中主持育成14个品种;育成的品种有6个被农业部认定为超级稻。培养毕业研究生20多名。
